Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

In this edition of Cold Jet Academy, we will discuss how to safely setup your machine with electrostatic discharge.

Dry ice blasting may create electrostatic discharges. If proper precautions are taken, injury and equipment damage are rare. With user safety being the highest priority for Cold Jet, all equipment is fitted with effective electrostatic dischargers. Also be sure the equipment is plugged into a properly grounded electrical outlet.

It is recommended to avoid operating the equipment near explosive or flammable material. Also use a plastic shovel when handling dry ice to mitigate electrostatic discharge.
