Be Flexible ... with Blast Hoses

If you've purchased dry ice blasting equipment, you're likely aware of the importance of choosing the right blast hose. Not only does the blast hose play a crucial role in controlling the flow of the dry ice pellets but it also provides the operator with optimal ergonomics. They are designed for ultimate flexibility and durability. That's why we want to take a moment to educate you on the different types of dry ice blasting hose options offered by Cold Jet.

Material

All blast hoses are designed to eliminate constrictions and freezing during blasting. They are also rated to blasting pressures of 300 psi (20.7 bar). Cold Jet offers two standard options for blast hose material: rubber for durability and silicone for flexibility. For those who want to benefit from both, we have a hybrid option. We also have options specifically designed for 24/7 continuous blasting with automated setups.

Length

Different situations require different blast hose lengths, for easier handling and to ensure safety. In order to reach areas that are further away from the dry ice blasting machine, there is the possibility of extended lengths. We even have aerodynamic quick-disconnect and JIC fittings available to connect multiple blast hoses together. Depending on the type of the machine, there are recommended lengths of up to 100 feet (30 meters) that can be configured. However, shorter blast hoses are better for blasting performance.

Size

There are several blast hose diameter sizes available: 3/8" (9.5 mm) to 1 1/4" (31.75 mm). Smaller diameter options can provide better operator ergonomics and larger diameter blast hoses can optimize performance. Also, each one is fitted with effective electrostatic discharges to minimize the potential for injury or damage.
