🌬️ How much air do I need for dry ice blasting? ❄️

Welcome to another exciting edition of our newsletter! Now that you are ready to delve into another insightful topic from the world of dry ice blasting, today we are addressing a common question: "How much air do I need for dry ice blasting?" Let's explore this together.

Airflow & Air Volume´s Crucial Role

When it comes to dry ice blasting systems, understanding your air requirements is crucial for optimal performance. Dry ice blasting systems that use 3mm pellets typically require 100 cfm (2.8 m3/min) at 80 psi (5.5 bar), providing powerful cleaning capabilities for a variety of applications. On the other hand, MicroParticle systems offer greater precision, typically require only 30 cfm (0.9 m3/min) at 80 psi (5.5 bar). For the most delicate tasks, MicroParticle systems can operate with nozzle that consume as little as 12 cfm (0.3 m³/min) at 80 psi (5.5 bar).

The Application Is Decisive For Flow And Pressure

However, it is essential to note that your specific needs will vary depending on the nature of your application. Factors such as surface material, cleaning intensity, cleaning time, and environmental conditions all play a critical role in determining the ideal air for your dry ice blasting setup.
